Citizen Science Project, Weather-it, in Science Education: The Scientific Attitudes of Junior High School Students

Formal education increasingly includes citizen science projects. There is clear evidence of the benefits projects for learning, where one goals to foster a logical mindset and add information students. This study aimed measure changes in scientific attitude addition knowledge acquired by project named Weather-it, which consists activities investigate weather identify clouds. Thirty junior high school students were involved this study. Research data obtained from semi-structured interviews questionnaires. The experts have verified 23 statement items on questionnaire sheet. results showed that 77% good category indicator curiosity, 67% sufficient respect data, 93% critical thinking, open-mindedness cooperation. Furthermore, explained they gained through project, including about clouds, technology, use Microsoft Excel processing aviation, duties meteorologist.
